1 cup oats (steel cut are better)
3 cups filtered water
1 tspn vanilla extract or to taste
1 tblspn agave, honey or maple syrup (or to taste)
Good pinch cinnamon (or to taste)
Pinch Himalayan salt
Rinse & drain oat for an hour or over night (for softer & creamier milk)
Rinse & drain oats thoroughly, if you don’t, you will get oat slime ☹
Place oats in processor with water. ( can add more water for less creamy milk)
Gradually increase speed then high speed for 10 seconds.
Put through sieve to get rid of most pulp the place in nut bag & squeeze out milk
Place into processor with rest of ingredients & mix.
Pour into clean glass jar, refrigerate.
Oats are high in protein & fibre, known to reduce cholesterol levels & good for the heart.
